This page explains what NostalgiaTV collects when you use the site, and what it doesn't. In short: we don't ask who you are, we don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't sell anything about you.
Who runs NostalgiaTV
NostalgiaTV is run by Rising Tide Digital. For any question about your data, email admin@nostalgia-tv.com.
What we keep
- Quiz scores. When you finish a quiz, we save which quiz it was, your score and the date. That lets us show how you did compared with everyone else. Nothing in it identifies you.
- Clicks on Where to watch and shopping links. We note which link was clicked, on which page, and when, so we know which services people find useful. Nothing about you is recorded.
- Your Quiz of the Day streak. This is kept only in your own browser, on your device, and never sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
Cookies
NostalgiaTV doesn't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to accept or decline.
The only cookie the site sets is a sign-in cookie for the site's owner, so they can see the site before it opens and view the owner's reports. Visitors never receive it.
If we ever add cookies that aren't essential, we'll ask you first and update this page.
Other services
- Hosting. Cloudflare runs the site. Like any web host, it sees your internet address when pages load, to deliver them and to protect the site from attacks. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies.
- YouTube clips. Some quiz questions include a clip. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; the clip then plays from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, and Google's privacy policy applies.
- Sharing on Facebook. Pressing a share button opens Facebook, and from there Meta's privacy policy applies.
- Where to watch and shopping links take you to other sites such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX or Amazon. Their own privacy policies and cookies apply once you're there. If a link carries our affiliate code, the shop or service may use a cookie to credit us for what you buy or sign up for, at no cost to you.
Email alerts
Email alerts aren't switched on yet. The sign-up box doesn't send or save anything you type. Before we start sending emails, we'll update this page to explain where your email address is kept (with our email provider, Kit) and how to unsubscribe.
Your rights
UK data protection law gives you rights over personal data held about you, including seeing it, correcting it and having it deleted. Because the site doesn't collect information that identifies you, there is usually nothing to look up, but you're welcome to ask using the contact details above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Changes to this page
We'll update this page whenever the site changes what it collects. Last updated 7 November 2026.
